Wedding Weekend---A Walk in the Park

August 22, 2009---Saturday morning of the wedding weekend we wanted the kids to get out and burn up some energy. The hotel was next to Restoration Park which at one time was a strip mine but has now been transformed naturally into a wetlands area. Andre, Jack, PaPa Gator, Rick, our three kids, and I decided to walk the trails around the park before lunch.







It was beautiful with numerous trails, wetland areas, animals, and wooded areas. The kids were on the lookout for alligators.

We were in Louisiana in August so it was extremely hot and muggy. Our walk lasted just over an hour and we were ready to get some lunch and have the kids nap before the wedding. While the little ones were resting, Andre, Cliff, Amanda, Rick, and I played Monopoly Deal. We just LOVE that game. Then it was time to get ready for the wedding...
